CBB media manager hired as president of GPS tracking firm

Conrad Galambos, known to many in the automotive industry for his role in managing media and public relations for Canadian Black Book (CBB), has been hired as the president of a rapidly growing GPS tracking firm.

Solutions Into Motion said the move was made strategically to run parallel with the organization’s growth towards direct, content, and online marketing.

“Given Conrad’s background in marketing and communications, specifically in automotive, technology and the GPS space, we saw an obvious fit,” said Vince Poloniato, CEO at Solutions Into Motion. “He has consulted for us for a number of years, and his work with the company has helped us continue our growth and we are excited to reach new milestones under his leadership.”

Galambos has experience in marketing, PR and communications, and spent the last decade running his own consultancy practice—focusing largely on clients in automotive, F&I, big data, and technology, along with specific experience in the GPS and IoT space.

“I’m excited for the opportunity and challenge of working with this phenomenal team, who seem to overachieve at every turn,” said Galambos. “I know the company, I know the individuals and I know the ownership, and now I look forward to working with all of them to continue the success SIM is enjoying.”

The company said it would retain CGC Marcomm Services clients, forming a new marketing division of the company that will allow Galambos to continue working with his existing client base and evolve it.

“The capacity and expertise to continue to deliver marketing and communications services has greatly increased,” said Galambos.
